As many shareholders may be aware, Laddies Poker Two went through the sales ring last night at Newmarket and was sold for 100,000gns. Although the sale price did not achieve the valuation that was made, Ladbrokes are pleased that the filly fetched a six figure sum. The process of recovering the sale monies and the prize money will begin before crediting all shareholders. Jeremy Noseda, trainer for Laddies Poker Two commented:

"Laddies Poker Two went through the sales ring on December 1 at Tattersalls, Newmarket and realised 100,000gns. To sell for that figure in the contemporary climate with the market at least 50 per cent down in general marked a decent return. While we met with the odd setback with her over the past season, she managed to win two from four starts. She proved a good quality performer and I hope gave all the shareholders plenty of enjoyment. I would like to wish all the best to all of those involved in her over the past couple of seasons."

Once again we would like to thank all shareholders for their support with the promotion.

Northern monkeys set off at 7am, me Banksoir and Emmerson. Banksoir chose to wear 2 coats in the car for the three-hour journey. Anticipation was high for Laddies Poker Two's biggest race to date, for the first time expectations were very high.

Emmerson was in fine form on the day. He put the sat nav on the windscreen it fell off, and he wondered why it would not stay on? He started to talk to the sat-nav, was he really expecting a reply back? Emmerson said "this phone charger is crap it is not working?" Had he plugged it in he would have had a chance - doh! Emmerson's phone then goes, his ring tone is Dolly Parton's Working Nine till Five - yes bloody Dolly Parton, he says to his friend “Are you working working or working working? “ Banksoir and myself could not stop laughing. Banksoir then went onto tell us how he has got an edge on X Factor betting, at least the journey was going fast.

We arrive in Newmarket at 10.30 and head straight for the pub, we order breakfast and drinks, Emmerson orders a sausage balm, and the lady replies a sausage roll? Emmerson says no a sausage balm please, the lady says yep a sausage roll, Emmerson replies no a sausage balm, the lady replies a sausage.....Roll? Emmerson could not grasp this and this went on for ten minutes.

We finish our breakfast and head for the racetrack to meet the fellow shareholders at the racecourse. The marquee complete with champagne reception was ready for us. All of the shareholders were buzzing with high expectations and the possible outcome of the race. Marios was filming shareholders throughout the day Beermoney was asked to say a few words his mouth opened but nothing came out he got stage fright lol, he hastily retreated for another drink. The filming seemed to attract the cheeky little fillies from the other marquees, which was an unexpected bonus. Bring the video camera again i say.

Our good friend Cresta was subject to many a joke. Sorry Brian. Banksoir was telling a tale how he had bought something for £3.99 from the pound shop, Cresta fell for it hook line and sinker - You can’t do that! Cresta than asked me where do you put your bets on? I replied the waiters will do it for you, he then went over and the waiter looked bewildered by him everyone was laughing in the marquee.

Chinny then arrives (by helicopter no less), he grabs the handle and keeps pushing the door inwards and continued to do this for three minutes until he finally realised the door opened outwards lol, what an entrance he made. Emmerson after several drinks asks Lucy from Ladbrokes; Did you volunteer to be here? Lucy replied "No, I work for Ladbrokes!" Emmerson then went all sheepish and promised to keep quiet. This was the Emmerson show today lol.

Marios then told us a tale of how he got of the tube and headed to where he had left his wife’s car in the morning. He looks around and the car was nowhere to be seen Noooooooooooooo! It must have been stolen - he rings his wife who is hysterical, he then rings the police, who then start taking all the details, Marios decides to walk round the corner and to his embarassment he had the wrong street! Still on the phone to the police, "don’t believe it officer they have brought it back" - so so funny.

The race is nearly upon us so myself Marios, Banksoir and Chinny go to speak to Jeremy Noseda in the parade ring. Noseda is very very bullish about her chances and thinks she will win, on hearing this obviously our expectations rise even further, they go down to the start and the shareholders start to get nervous you could feel the tension in the air.

They get under way and Laddies is going well and is cantering and hits the front 2f out. To our shock, she then seems to stop and the rest of the horses start to come back at her. Then she gets squeezed, but that is no excuse she had already lost the race and eventually finishes fifth.

All the shareholders were deflated to say the least asking what had happened? I suppose this is horseracing's ups and downs we experienced today thinking she would win, and then the lows we felt when she lost in the manner she did.

Only one race though. I still feel she will go on to be an exceptional horse, we will have to wait and see what Jeremy Noseda says in regards to why she finished in that manner?

Thank you to Lucy and Marios from Ladbrokes for another quality hospitality day, I for one hope they keep Laddies Poker Two for another year so she can fulfil her potential.

“Laddies Poker Two is set to run as scheduled in this Friday’s Listed Boadicea Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket.

“She worked on the grass yesterday morning and I was delighted with the way she went.

“She seems to be approaching the race in top order and we are just keeping our fingers crossed that the ground stays good or faster. Tom Queally is once again set to ride her."

Jeremy Noseda

29/09/2008

Jeremy Noseda was more than satisfied after Laddies Poker Two made it two from three with a stirring success in a 6f handicap at Ascot on Friday. The Choisir filly had no problem at all dropping back in trip from 7f and showed that her Newmarket third last month had given her a fitness edge as she struck in good style by a length and three quarters under jockey Tom Queally. Connections will now keep one eye on the ground and the other on the programme book as they seek to find her suitable options at the back-end of the 2008 campaign.

“It was a very professional performance and she did everything right, so we’re delighted. Tom Queally felt that the ground had a little too much water on for what would be absolutely ideal for her. In my mind, I’ve always felt that she is very much a fast-ground filly.

“Tom thinks that six furlongs is most probably her optimum trip at present. She has shown that she can perform well at seven but after today we are most likely to stay at six for the time being. There is a Listed fillies’ event over the trip at Newmarket on October 17 that we will consider for her, especially if the ground is still decent.

“First we will get her home, see how she comes out of the race and then, after a discussion with Mike Dillon, we will make our plan going forward. But I’m just really pleased with her latest run - it was a really good performance from a filly having only her third career start.”

Laddies Poker Two lands Ascot prize

LADDIES Poker Two gave a very impressive performance in recording a smooth victory in the 6f handicap at Ascot this afternoon. Jockey Tom Queally was in top form aboard the 9-2 joint favourite who was settled in midfield before being launched with her challenge towards the far side. She was always travelling strongly and when asked to quicken 2f out did so impressively to win by a length and three quarters. This lightly raced daughter of Choisir has run only three times winning on her debut at Kempton in January before finishing third at Newmarket last time out. She is a filly on the upgrade and hopefully can be up to making her mark in 'black-type' company at some point in the future.

"Laddies Poker Two will contest a 6f handicap at Ascot on Friday. I feel the filly is in good shape, having done her latest piece of work on Sunday. I was happy with her work.

"We will be dropping back in trip to six furlongs from seven with her. That's something new for her but she has got enough speed, I think to handle it. I should add, however, that we've half been forced into dropping her down to six furlongs because of the lack of suitable races for her at seven."

It was a glorious summers day for a change and the northern monkeys only had short journey to make to Doncaster, myself, Banksoir, Mothy07 & Salmonoysta (who arrived late). Banksoir went to open the boot for Salmonoysta however, we were on a slight incline and forgot to put the handbrake on - needless to say we ended up in a neighbours flower bed (oops). We eventually leave and turn out of my drive - the sat nav says “ Turn left “ unfortunately, Banksoir turns right after all, knowing your left from your right can be difficult.

No journey with poker players in a car would be complete without some bad beat stories. Salmonysta told us his story from the previous weekend which was the Dream Team event in London. We soon arrive at the hotel and meet up with fellow shareholders. On our email it said we would be setting off to the course at 11am SHARP. Tick tock, tick tock still no sign of Marios and Jake but they finally arrive, I suppose they are not used to going north of Watford and would need their passports bless.

On seeing Marios, Billyw01 & Kev100 suddenly started to go quiet as they had cained the last day out at Newmarket. They had a champagne round on Ladbrokes so reprimand was given and it was then time to board the coach to the racecourse. We had the customary champagne on arrival, I took mine out onto the balcony which was just overlooking the finishing line, and fellow shareholders were just discussing Laddies Poker Two and saying it was a pity she was not racing.

Ken007 gave us his expert opinion on the going, wait for it, wait for it “It looks fine to me" who needs John Mcarick? Ken007 then starts to set his laptop up laying bets. It was nice to see some new faces including eddy147, Blackbeard, djspin & snakeyes (pinky and perky the Halifax massive). Drinks started to flow and one of the fellow shareholders asked the waiter for another drink, the 'waiter' turned round - oops it was Realmadras! He had the same attire on as the waiters, dressed all in black so as you can imagine the waiter theme carried on the rest of the day.

Banksoir was on fire picking the winners and a nice cheeky little accumulator. After a great day out, we made our way back to the hotel for evening of live poker and plenty of drink. We check in to our rooms and Ken007 has got room 69, he asks the delightful looking reception “Which is room 69 love” she replies “you can go either way to it “as you can imagine we were in stitches, the receptionist liked the crack.

Poker commences and the first one out was Blackbeard, ak v 35 vvul, the eventual winner was Seahorse with the pivotal hand being against Onthesteal heads up all in pre flop 22 v kk runner, runner, runner, runner flush vvvvuuullll Malc, live poker is rigged. Seahorse won a Irish package vwp Jason, a prize worth winning indeed. We then retired to the residents bar for a very late night. I finally retired at 3.30am, even though our horse did not run imho this was one of the best days out with a combination of old and new faces. From start to finish it was non stop laughter.

It was pleasure as always to meet fellow shareholders also a big mention to our hosts Marios and Jake for all the hard work in making this a memorable day. Ladbrokes hospitality as always was absolutely superb and they certainly know how to entertain.

"I am delighted with Laddies Poker Two as she seems in good shape. We will possibly head her to the 6f handicap for three-year-olds only at Ascot on September 26.

"I would have loved to have run her over 7f - however, the only suitable race over that trip is at Chester where you can be drawn out of it before you enter the gate.

"Otherwise, if we wanted to run her over 7f, we would have to wait for Newmarket on Saturday October 4. Plans will be discussed with Mike Dillon and a decision will be made by the end of the week."

Laddies Poker Two to miss Doncaster

LADDIES POKER Two will not be taking up either of her engagements at Doncaster this week due to the ground.

The heavy rainfall means the going at Doncaster is likely to be soft, which trainer Jeremy Noseda feels is unsuitable for her at this stage of her career.

She has shown that she is a fluent-actioned filly and with her relative inexperience in mind, Jeremy believes it is wise to wait until the better ground returns.

That is when he will take stock and find a suitable opportunity for her.

27/08/2008

LADDIES POKER Two strode out on the Limekilns this morning as trainer Jeremy Noseda put plenty of his string through their faster paces.

The Choisir filly underlined that she had emerged well from her recent Newmarket race - in which she was third - when galloping with a fellow three-year-old winner on the Trial Ground.

Noseda said: "Laddies Poker Two worked really well this morning and I am very happy with her. We are looking forward to heading to Doncaster with her on September 10 where she will tackle a 7f handicap.

"I feel she should be very competitive in what is sure to be a tough enough race for the class."

Laddies Poker Two gets a Gold Star!

Page 21 of today's Racing Post comments on Laddies Poker Two - "Her first appearance since winning an all-weather maiden (also 7f) in January first time out. Travelled best in this 13-runner handicap and there is obvious potential there with this under her belt, perhaps over 6f.

19/08/2008

Northern monkeys set off on the three hour journey to Newmarket, Jagger Banksoir and Mothy07. We are just about to pull out of my drive and the radio is on with the presenter making a phone call, Banksy answers his mobile thinking it is his phone doh. The traffic is horrendous and the journey only takes us four and a half hours - making us late, our apologies to the fellow shareholders. We take the thirty minute journey to the racecourse from the hotel, we arrive at the hospitality tent, the champagne is flowing with a top class meal not far behind.

I was sat with BBmoney, Mrsbeer, Beermoney and Onthesteal etc who provided witty articulate conversation. Bill told us a story in which his friend asked to guess the age of his new girlfriend. Apparently she was 52 but Bill said she looked more like 62 and asked us to keep it quiet. Outside i met my friend Waggi he has lost 8 stone since January this year, tremendous achievement well done.

The racing commenced on what was a glorious summer's day, as you can imagine, it made us all thirsty and we had to ensure we did not dehydrate.

Kev100 made a cheeky little bid with two ladies, he came back and said they was Polish, he tried to imitate their accent it was a cross between Sly Stallone and Arnie, Kev don't give up your day job. Mike Dillion then came across to the hospitality tent and was mingling with the shareholders, Shambaloo spilt a full drink over him that went down like Derby. Apologies to Mike. Plymlegend and Breastknight asked me to pick a number for the 4th race, i did and it duly obliged - pity i could not pick a winner for myself. Jeremy Noseda then popped across before the eagerly anticpated second run of Laddies Poker Two, he did a question and answer session in which he said she will need the run and top four he would be happy with.

We then made our way to the saddlers enclosure to see Laddies Poker Two giving us the chance to take pictures etc, then we proceeded to the parade ring to meet the jockey Tom Quealey for more photo opportunites. The shareholders made their way to their viewing stations, excitment is now in the air, the race commences with Laddies a little slow out of the starting blocks, however, three furlongs from home and Laddies Poker Two is cruising we all thought she was going to win. One furlong out she still looked like she would win - as you can imagine the shareholders were screaming her home, unfortunately the lack of full fitness was to tell but still finished a creditable third, showing once more she has ability with a high cruising speed.

Jeremy Noseda comes back across and he was spot on in where thought the horse would finish. Moppy was living upto his alias he was full a mop, he was following Jeremy about and stuck to him like velcro trying to tell him to do his job, he then wanted to have a bet with Jeremy for £100, to be fair to Jeremy he took it in great spirit. It's amazing what a complementary bar does.

Boyzone then started their concert after the racing, i thought i'd seen an argument in the distance, but it was only "words" Kev100 was missing his Polish women so he started to text them saying "love me for a reason" can you send me a "picture of you" i wish "i was making my way back to you" He said i have to meet them again "no matter what".

Unfortunately we had to leave before the end of the concert so we all made our way to the coach - some slightly worse for wear. We waited twenty minutes for Moppy but to no avail he was probably still following Jeremy lol. Back to the hotel where the poker would commence, the prizes being 1st Irish Poker Festival package, second and third place win a place in the Weekly Final, so well worth winning. Two hands in Billyw01 is out well played sir. Interval time and BFA74 puts a glass of wine on the poker table he was nearly escorted of the premises. Finishing in third position was SHAMBALOO wp. Finishing in second was 63jimboy vwp. Finishing first for a Irish Poker festival package was Mickjagger1

As usual we finish the evening or should i say small hours in the bar, it was left to the hardcore frank47, breastknight, julesky, 63jimboy, heathers, kev100, billyw01, shambaloo Plymlegend and mickjagger1, my apologies if i have forgotton anybody.

Again, Ladbrokes hospitality imho cannot be beaten combined with the excellent community spirit it is always a pleasure to meet fellow shareholders meeting old friends as well as making new ones. A special thank you to Lucy and Kate who were tremendous hosts for the day ensuring that everbody had a wonderfull day.

Lastly, the three northerners approach home on Saturday when Mothy's phone rings. Its his other half. She tells him that she has arrived at Peterboro station and will wait for him there. Problem is, Mothy forgot he made the arrangement with her and was minutes from his home in Manchester. Ouch.

"I was delighted with Laddies Poker Two’s run at Newmarket. It panned out exactly as we’d expected before the race as her fitness told in the last furlong, but I couldn’t have asked for any more.

"It crossed my mind to go back in trip to 6f. But having thought about it through Saturday, I’ve decided to stick to the plan and, all being well, she’ll head to the 7f handicap at Doncaster on September 10."

Jeremy Noseda

15/08/2008

Laddies Poker Two made an encouraging return to action when finishing third in the 7f fillies’ handicap at Newmarket. The Choisir filly had been off the track since the very early spring when she made a winning debut at Kempton. Ridden by Tom Queally on her comeback, she was held up towards the rear on the stands’ side before smoothly making progress. Nothing was travelling better as they approached the final furlong but she just flattened out in the closing strides to end up third, beaten two and a quarter lengths.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda said: "I was pleased with her and she travelled really well in her race. She showed plenty of speed and I feel she is entitled to improve for the race after her break. "We will look at our options but there is a 7f handicap at Donaster’s St Leger meeting that we’ve already ear-marked as her possible next engagement."

11/08/2008

"Laddies Poker Two makes her return to action in next Friday's 7f fillies' handicap at Newmarket.

"I feel that she will need the run to get her fully fit. But the race is close to home and we've decided that it makes sense to start her back here. She will get a run under her belt and that will put her right for the rest of the season."

Jeremy Noseda

23/07/2008

"Laddies Poker Two has now returned into fast work and I am very pleased with how she is going.

"She has received a handicap mark of 91 which is justifiable on the form of her Kempton win - however, it does make life a little bit difficult when looking for a suitable race.

"But I do feel that she has plenty of talent and we should have a good late summer, autumn campaign with her granted reasonable luck.

"The two races we will be looking at for her are a 7f fillies handicap at Newmarket on August 15 or 7f handicap at Newbury on August 16.

"However, we will need things to go well over the next three weeks for us to be able to make one of those engagements."

Jeremy Noseda

21/07/2008

"Laddies Poker Two is now ready to start going into fast work. I am delighted with her condition and how she has done physically since the spring.

"I'm looking forward to getting her back on the racetrack and hopefully we will have a good campaign with her in the second half of the season."

Jeremy Noseda

05/06/2008

"I'm pleased to be able to report that Laddies Poker Two is now back in training. She is currently just enjoying easy canters as she builds back up.

"The plan is for her to hopefully move into some faster work at the end of June. But I am happy with her and we are going forward with her once again."

Jeremy Noseda

10/04/2008

"The filly has gone to Jamie Railton’s stud and training centre which is located just north of Bury St Edmunds. She will spend another two weeks there on box rest.

"After her time with Jamie, she will then undertake walking exercise for two weeks at which point we will reassess the situation and I will be able to update you further."

Jeremy Noseda

25/03/2008

"Unfortunately Laddies Poker Two has suffered a stress fracture to her right hind tibia. This will require her to have a month’s box rest.

"The prognosis as regards to her recovering in the long-term is 100 per cent. Having said that., the earliest she could possibly be back on the track is in very late June.

"Of course, we will keep you updated on her progress over the coming weeks and look forward to her hopefully racing sooner rather than later."

Jeremy Noseda

Following this unfortunate news, we will shortly be organising a freeroll for Shareholders' day at the races, courtesy of Ladbrokes. Please watch this space, as we will contacting you directly soon.

"Laddies Poker Two is progressing well. I was very pleased with her latest piece of work last Saturday morning on the Al Bahathri polytrack.

"She remains on course for the Masaka Stakes at Kempton on Saturday April 12."

Jeremy Noseda

19/02/2008

We eased-back with Laddies Poker Two following her successful debut at Kempton last month.

I am happy with her and she is now ready to start undertaking stronger canters as we start to prepare her for the build-up to her next intended target, the Masaka Stakes. All being well, she will return to Kempton on April 12 for this Listed race, staged over a mile.

Jeremy Noseda

06/02/2008

"This morning saw the publication of the latest handicap figures and the assessor has chosen not to give Laddies Poker Two a rating after her debut success.

"Having had a subsequent chat with Mike Dillon at Ladbrokes, we've decided that we will aim for the Masaka Stakes, a Listed race for three-year-old fillies over a mile at Kempton in the early part of April.

"This will be a sizeable step up in grade but following her win and the handicapper not giving her a mark, there is a lack of suitable opportunities in the programme book for a filly like her to compete.

"As I mentioned in the immediate aftermath of her race, she has taken her debut at Kempton really well and I am delighted with her physically and mentally. We will now try and have her in top form for her second career start in April."

Jeremy Noseda

22/01/2008

Awake at 6.45 and it's pitch black and pouring with rain. It's the day of Laddies Poker Two's first outing after a series of setbacks.

I set off on the three-hour journey, picking "realmadras" up on the way, but the journey takes us 5 hours after a number of traffic jams strike before we arrive at Kempton race track!

We go to meet the rest of the shareholders in the Wayward Lad Suite; appropriately named as "realmadras" says he knows the way, leading us straight into the kitchen. We beat a hasty retreat as we could see the chef steaming!

It was nice catching up with all the shareholders again. I win the first race @9/2!

"Frank47" comes out with a classic "Jagger if that would of gone on for another two minutes mine would have won!". I could not stop laughing considering the race was only 1m 2f long & not exactly the Grand National.

I duly win the second race, giving me two out of two. Things are going too well - I hope my luck doesn't change!

Ladbrokes' hospitality is second-to-none as usual with the alchol flowing & food arriving, did i really just see a puff of smoke? No it was the John Parrott lookalike AKA "Stuart73", who promptly returned to the buffet six times, yes six times! He's a growing lad for sure....!

Laddies Poker Two's race debut is next and the anticipation starts to build. Her trainer Jeremy Noseda now enters the room, and we are eager to find out what chances the horse has got today.

Mr Noseda is bullish about it's chances, though you can never be certain on a racecourse debut. We then took pictures etc. before making our way to the pre-race parade ring. It is lashing down with a gusting wind; "Moonraker" is the first to step outside with his umbrella turning inside-out, followed by "realmadras" slipping down some steps.

We reach the pre parade ring when "Frank47" is challanged by the stewards: "Sorry Sir, you can't take that pint of bitter in there", to which "Frank47" just shrugs his shoulders & returns to the bar.

Suddenly the rain stops and turns to blue skies - is that a sign...?

We then enter the paddock to put our bets on. I personally put £200 on @9/4, but then suddenly Laddies starts to drift in the market. We the shareholders start to panic - what is going wrong?

They start to load in the stalls the nerves start to tingle, the anticipation, the unanswered questions will all unfold in the next couple of minutes. Will it be a positive outcome?

They're off & Laddies misses the break; she's 2nd-last before starting to advance through the field. As they reach the bend I see that Tom Queally is sat motionless with the rest of the riders starting to struggle.

At this point i turn to "shambaloo" & say: "No waaaaayyyyyyyyy it's got it won!"

Two furlongs out and Tom Queally asks Laddies to go & go she did, promptly opening up a large gap in effortless fashion before easing down to a six furlong victory, with the shareholders jumping up & down and you could hear the jubilation echoing round the course " YES! YES! YES! GET IN THEIR YOU BEAUTY! "

We now go to the WINNERS enclosure - did i say WINNERS enclosure> - what an atmosphere again; both trainer & jockey let all the shareholders take photos of such a memorable occasion.

We were all in shock and disbelief of not only the victory, but in the manner it was achieved, so much so that "Waggy" forgot that he had brought his son! Even that had a happy ending with his son eventually being re-united with his dad.

Time to go up to collect the WINNERS Trophy, and I was nominated with the honour with paparazzi snapping away, followed by interviews with the tabloids.

Then the champagne flowed whist watching a repeat of the i don't know if i have mentioned the WINNING performance.

Again Mr Noseda came back to the hospitality suite to mingle with the shareholders; hats of sir a great training performance & ride by Mr Queally.

We were all buzzing and it was incredible to see a room with so many smiling faces.

A big mention must go to LADBROKES for deciding to keep Laddies for another year whilst very genourously paying for the additional training fees & costs to enable today to take place & also Marios for all his hard work and dedication in running this promotion in difficult circumstances thank you thank you thank you!

What a truly memorable day that I will remember forever; who knows what the forthcoming campaign will bring? Fingers crossed!

Going to bed now: I won't need my pillow because I'm on cloud nine!

21/01/2008

LADDIES POKER Two produced a most accomplished debut as she convincingly beat her field by six lengths at Kempton today (January 21st).

The Choisir filly was far too good for her six rivals, readily landing the seven-furlong maiden in the hands of jockey Tom Queally to delight the many attending members from her ownership syndicate.

Having been slowly into stride, she was soon travelling sweetly as Monsieur Reynard led them along. At the top turn the eventual outcome looked predictable as the grey loomed up in ominous fashion to tackle the principals.

She cruised along to lead by the two-pole and was totally in charge a furlong out before running out the 11/4 scorer in good style.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda was on hand - with plenty of the shareholders - to greet Laddies Poker Two back into the winner's enclosure.

Noseda said: "It was a pleasing first effort. She was a little bit green prior to the race and seemed to slightly miss the break but after the first furlong-and-a-half Tom was able to get her travelling on the bridle.

"She gave a very professional performance. For a first start, you couldn't have asked for a better effort.

"There is no immediate plan. We will see how the handicapper assesses her next Tuesday, but there is no urgency at this point to get her straight back on the racetrack. The way in which she raced suggests that getting a mile won't prove beyond her.

"I should also add that it was nice to see the syndicate so well represented at Kempton. It has taken a long time to get to this point with the filly having missed her two-year-old campaign. But I'm delighted with the first run of her life and feel that everyone's patience has been rewarded."

Tony Rushmer

16/01/2008

"Unfortunately, Laddies Poker Two will not be making her first career start today because the low weight she’d have to carry significantly reduced our riding options.

"However, we have already identified an alternative starting point for her at Kempton on Monday, January the 21st @ 2.50 pm: The Digibet Median Auction Maiden Stakes (Class 5) 7f 3yo maiden SS14.

"She is definitely lined up to take her place her in a seven-furlong maiden and Tom Queally will be booked to ride her.

"The filly is in very good order and I feel I ought to say that it’s unfortunate we’ve not been able to start her away yet.

"But I am hopeful that the wait will have been worth it when she makes her belated racecourse introduction next Monday."

10/01/2008

Following the late withdrawal of Laddies Poker Two from its scheduled race at Lingfield during the Christmas period, we are pleased to announce that the horse is once again ready for its track debut. Jeremy Noseda, Laddies Poker Two trainer is extremely happy with the horse and in particular it’s fitness and health. Jeremy has chosen two possible meetings for the horse’s debut both on January 16th. Laddies Poker Two will either make her debut at Lingfield or Kempton.

It has been decided that the shareholders who were drawn to attend Lingfield on December 29th will be given the opportunity to attend Laddies’ track debut. All shareholders that were chosen will be contacted in the next couple of days. We sincerely hope that this is the first of many outings for the horse during 2008 and that we can accommodate as many shareholders as possible during the season with our hospitality.

Further updates on the horse’s progress and in particular a summary of it’s maiden run will follow on the site.
